How to use if updating on nested column in triggers

This tutorial is applicable for all versions of SQL Server i.e. You can change trigger mode activate/deactivate but you can't explicitly run.

We can create a trigger to update the 'product_price_history' table when the price of the product is updated in the 'product' table. These triggers fire when any valid event is fired, regardless of whether or not any table rows are affected.DDL triggers execute in response to a variety of data definition language (DDL) events. If trigger activated, implicitly fire DML statement and if trigger deactivated can't fire.ON orders DECLARE v Msg VARCHAR2(30) := 'Statement Level Trigger Fired'; BEGIN dbms_output.put_line(v Msg); END statement_level; / set serveroutput on INSERT INTO orders (somecolumn) VALUES ('ABC'); UPDATE orders SET somecolumn = 'XYZ'; ON orders DECLARE v Msg VARCHAR2(30) := 'Statement Level Trigger Fired'; BEGIN IF INSERTING THEN dbms_output.put_line(v Msg
